The AcuPointEMR encounter screen — NADA five-point charting with one-click invoicing.
About this project
AcuPointEMR is a web-based electronic medical record designed around the narrow, supervised scope of auricular acu-detox practice. It pairs fast, scope-appropriate charting with strong privacy protections and a price low enough for the low-budget and volunteer-run clinics that most medical software overlooks.
The problem
Acu-detox specialists practice within a tightly defined scope — auricular acupuncture for substance-use and trauma recovery — working under a supervisor and obtaining signed consent before every treatment. Yet the available acupuncture EMRs are built for full Traditional Chinese Medicine practices and priced accordingly, often $40–$80 per month with additional per-practitioner fees. Community clinics, which frequently charge only a few dollars a visit and lean on students and volunteers, are effectively priced out. AcuPointEMR was built to close that gap with a focused tool at a fraction of the cost.
